20-hrs Live Training : In-Person and Online**
August 7-8 + August 14-15, 12pm-5pm
Sliding Scale: $299-399
Hosted by Practice Yoga Austin
This 20-hr prenatal and postnatal workshop is designed for yoga teachers and birthing professionals (i.e. doulas, lactation consultants, nurses, midwives and physicians) as well as dedicated yoga students who are, or plan to become, pregnant and want to mindfully modify their practice. We will explore how the natural biological processes of pregnancy and postpartum healing (also known as the 1st – 4th trimesters) affect the body, mind, nervous system and energetic fields. Using asana, breath, meditation and relaxation we will uncover ways to alleviate common discomforts, soothe and re-pattern responses to stress, and prepare for the intimacy of parenting. Participants will learn how to customize postures and movements for the unique and changing needs of pregnant and postnatal bodies, while understanding how yogic philosophy and practices can support one's ability to greet birth, prioritize self-care, and nurture a family.
** You may attend the training in Austin, TX or participate remotely from your home.
